GEKO Cage‑Sleeved Plug Valve is a specially‑engineered lined plug valve
built to deliver reliable throttling and bubble‑tight shut‑off performance
under corrosive, high‑velocity and slurry‑laden operating conditions. Equipped
with a protective metal cage sleeve installed on the plug, this unique design
shields the PTFE liner against severe erosion while the valve is throttling
under high‑pressure‑drop service.
Design Principle
The metal cage sleeve is securely fastened onto the plug, locked in‑place
with a pin welded to the bottom of valve body. Bearings fitted on the cage
maintain a controlled clearance between cage and plug, enabling smooth,
free rotation of the plug during operation. During throttling, sealing occurs
metal‑to‑metal between cage and body; while positive shut‑off provides
metal‑to‑PTFE liner sealing. The cage physically covers and protects the PTFE
liner from direct impact and erosion caused by fast‑moving process fluids.

GEKO Cage-Type Plug Valve with PTFE Sleeve Protection Application
GKV655 Cage Type Plug Valve Anti-Static and Fireproof are available in four different patterns. The pattern indicated basic information about the valve in terms of end dimension (according to API 6D, BS 5353, ANSI B16.10 and DIN 3202/F1) & the size of the flow port through the valve. Various ports can be designed, quick turn on-off operation, easy to maintain, minimal resistance to flow, anti-static and fireproof design.
