Characteristics of GEKO Low Temperature Globe Valve

GEKO Cryogenic Testing Facilities:
GEKO operates advanced low-temperature testing facilities for R&D and customer-specific validation, ensuring valve safety and reliability in cryogenic applications. Managed by experienced specialists, the facilities feature a low-temperature test pit for large valves, a 6,000-gallon liquid nitrogen tank for extreme cooling, and a mass spectrometer for precise leak detection. These capabilities enable GEKO to validate performance, optimize designs, and deliver tailored testing solutions for critical cryogenic environments. The valve is manufactured from materials fully compatible with both liquid and gaseous oxygen, ensuring safety and reliability under cryogenic conditions. All materials and designs have been rigorously tested and certified by an independent third-party laboratory, guaranteeing compliance with international standards for oxygen service.

The valve stem features an integrated, high-strength construction with superior resistance to low temperatures, minimizing the risk of brittle failure. An anti-blowout (anti-flying) design further enhances operational safety by preventing accidental stem ejection during extreme pressure fluctuations.
In addition, the specially engineered ball center is optimized to provide maximum flow capacity while maintaining excellent sealing performance. This design not only reduces pressure drop across the valve but also ensures stable operation in demanding cryogenic applications such as liquid oxygen (LOX), liquid nitrogen (LIN), and other cryogenic fluids.
