GEKO Valves & Controls Participated In Jordan Oil Shale Power Station

In 2019, GEKO provided 200 sets of pneumatic actuators and accessories for the Jordan Atalat power station project through EPC China Energy Construction Southern Construction Investment Guangdong Thermal Power project, and power generation and grid connection were completed recently.

The Jordan Atalat Power Station project, located in an oil shale mining area about 110 kilometers south of the Jordanian capital of Amman, which is the world's largest oil shale power station. It will construct two air-cooled generator sets with a net output of 235 MW circulating fluidized bed steam turbines.

After the project is put into operation, the power supply will reach 3.7 billion kWh, which can meet 10%-15% of Jordan’s electricity demand. This project was known as the “Project of Hope” built on the Gobi Desert, will become the pearl of the “One Belt and One Road”. , to help Jordan realize its dream of oil shale power generation.
